First Columbus Transgender Day of Remembrance, November 2001
I found myself, by default, the keynote speaker at the inaugural Remembering Our Dead vigil in Columbus. The event was covered by Cleveland’s Gay People’s Chronicle, resulting in the worst photo of me ever taken, the evening after my second laser hair removal treatment left my face plaid with singed hair.
